Next Steps at Vanderbilt
Next Steps at Vanderbilt is a 4-year inclusive higher education program committed to providing students with intellectual disabilities inclusive, transformational postsecondary education in academics, social and career development, and independent living, while honoring equality, compassion, and excellence in all endeavors.
The goal of the program is to broaden the career options and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities in inclusive, age-appropriate settings. It is a comprehensive transition and postsecondary (CTP) program, which means students may be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, and Federal Work-Study programs.
